Personally, I'm not much of a blogger or journal keeper. So I don't feel like my life is incomplete without writing down my thoughts. Though, I have to admit, when I do it does feel really good to get those emotions out. So I feel that writing in a blog is good. When it comes to education, blogging would be useful in expressing one's ideas on a certain subject matter. For instance, Jan is interested in finding out more on Martin Luther King. She can go to her blog and express what questions and interests she has on the man. This brainstorming can lead to more ideas and more questions that she previously wouldn't have thought of before. In summary, blogging can help the thought processes move more quickly and smoothly. What a great way to brainstorm for a research paper in the classroom.

I could use a blog in my classroom to gain further comprehension that can't always be covered in class. I could add links to information for better understanding. I could also have a section where students could ask questions and give feedback.

Katherine,

I like your idea about using blogs to show your interests and ask questions.

Thanks for your posting! :)
